Has centuries of the sexual objectification of adult women had an impact on the way men and boys view underage girls? Does that impact influence sexual violence?
Girl Fest opens its 8th Annual festival with a panel that discusses issues relating the sexualization of girls and the rise in violence against women in the forms of sexual-assault, domestic violence, sex-trafficking/prostitution, but most glaringly, child sexual abuse.

Remedee, Olopop, Yoda, and Lyanne, who are regulars and pioneers in the B-Girl community in Hawaii create spaces for women and girls to improve their dance moves and create unity in the underrepresented female Hip-Hop scene.

Their love and devotion to the art of movement and creating positive changes they wish to see in the world, drives them to continue providing the islands with Hoop Dance services since their cosmic circle connection in 2010. R(e)VOLVE’s focus is to provide a tailored experience for each Hooper’s needs through classes, events, performances, and custom handmade hula hoops.
